Disneyland Day 2

Day 2 of Disneyland was spent in California adventure. The fist thing we did was get a fast pass to the cars ride, and boy am i glad we did, the wait for the ride was over 2 hours if you didn't get a fast pass. YIKES!!! The first ride we did was the Ariel ride and of course paisley LOVED it and went on it a few times lol me and greg went on California screamin and i was SO sick after, it took me all day to recover from that roller coaster, but it was still fun!!! We went then went into bugs land while the guys went and did more roller coaster rides. I dont know how i dont have one single picture of us in bugs land. Pax was asleep in his stroller for all of bugs land, which was 2 hours. We also went to the Disney show which was all the Disney junior shows, the kids loved that. and paisley went on monsters inc. with grandma and grandpa.
I would have to say though are ultimate favorite place and my favorite thing now at Disneyland is CARS LAND!!!!! You guys, i was squealing and screaming the entire time we were in there, i did NOT want to leave. They literally built the entire cars land, it is straight from the movie people i seriously could have cried it made me so happy lol i LOVE the cars movie, like more then my kids so i was WAY more excited then they were. And the characters from the movie are legit, they drive around and talk and you get your pictures taken with them, its AMAZING. We ate at flos cafe which was adorable. I got a hoodie from cars land that i LOVE!!! it was pretty crowded and now i can see why because it is so amazing. and we saved the best for last and went on the cars ride and luckily paisley was barley tall enough to go on it, and it is SO FUN!!! me and greg wanted to go on it again, but we weren't going to stand in line for 2 hours lol i seriously did not want to leave, i was taking it all in, i want to go back to Disneyland just for that.

i didn't want to post a million pictures so i did a few, they are all kinda mixed up,between cars land and California adventure.

Paxtons 2nd Birthday

Before we left for Disneyland we had a little birthday party for pax because his actual birthday was while we were in Disneyland.
One thing everybody knows about pax is his undying love for CARS i mean he has a car in his hands at ALL TIMES, he sleeps with an armful of them. This is something he has developed on his own you could let him run free in a toy store and he would scan the entire store until he found a car. So no doubt we through him a cars themed birthday party.
He had blast and of course he got new cars sheets and a bed set for his new big boy bed. and uncle mat bought him a slew of hot wheels cars which he LOVES. and aunt tess and uncle dev got him some fun toys too.
This kid has such a fun personality he is very shy and quite just like his dad, but when you can get him going he sure is a character. He is starting to talk a little he says mom and ready set go, but that's about it. This little man has been through allot in his 2 years and one thing i have learned about that is he will take his time and he has been through something very traumatic in his life (his heart surgery) and his doctor told me its very normal for kids to act like this when they have been through something like that. I get lots of grief for him having a binky still and him not talking but i'm very protective of him and i know in time he will become strong and independent and wont need his binky and blankie every where we go.
It hasn't even been a year since his surgery, he is doing remarkable and we will know next month how his heart is doing when he has his check up with his cardiologist.
This little guy has a special place in my heart, he is so strong and shows me everyday how precious life is. he has taught me to slow down and not stress over the small stuff, he has taught me lots and lots of patience. hes my shy little man who LOVES to snuggle and be held he is so sensitive, and i love that about him, he reminds me so much of his daddy. He may not be a rowdy, rambunctious, loud boy but he is my special boy and i'm so proud of him.

Happy 2nd Birthday Paxton
Pax and his giant cars balloon
mom went a little crazy on the birthday decorations.

Disneyland Day 1

The first day of Disneyland was spent in just Disneyland.
obviously my kids were VERY overwhelmed and the first ride greg took pax on he screamed and cried the entire time and the first ride i took paisley on (buzz light year) she screamed and cried bloody murder begging me to get her off. So we learned very quickly our kids do not like rides, so unfortunately we had to split off from gregs family because i was NOT going to stand in the hot sun just waiting for everybody else to go on rides.
We basically just wondered and tried to convince paisley to go on some small rides, she did do alice in wonderland and the tea cups, but if a ride was in the dark she was NOT going to do it, and if it had allot of puppets, and i figured out MOST of the rides are in the dark and have puppets, at least for the little ones. We mainly went and saw all the characters which both kids loved doing. we saw some shows which were all amazing and of course the parade and fireworks at night are magical.
Me and greg did get to go on one of my favs which is Indiana jones.
If your wondering why such a lack of pictures are first day its because if you have sensitive kids like mine then you don't do a whole lot lol one thing about my family is me and greg are very mellow and my kids like mellow and low key which is totally fine with us, but it can get hard when you are with a wild group which gregs other siblings are very wild and their kids are too.
This is just who we are, we still had a BLAST!!!

 entering the park

Disneyland (departure day)

We got to go to Disneyland last week. It was Greg's moms 60th birthday and his parents paid for everybody to go. It just so happened to be paxtons 2nd birthday the first day we went to Disneyland, how lucky is that boy?!
We got to go to Disneyland 3 days in a row and it was a BLAST, very exhausting but i think we were running on fun fumes lol it was so fun to take my kids, it made the trip so magical.
We left Thursday morning. Now i was extremely nervous to take paxton on an airplane, since my last experience taking a toddler on a plane was a complete NIGHTMARE. But this kid proved his mom wrong and i was SO relieved the the flights went very smooth.

Paisley waiting to get on the airplane
All the cousins waiting to get on the plane, excited to go to Disneyland!!!
She was a little nervous but did so good on the flight.
 Bye Bye snow
 coloring on the flight.
Pax playing with his seat belt.
Greg photo bombing mine and paxton's picture.

made it to our hotel room. We got a kids suite which was so nice because the kids got bunk beds.
Mommy and daddy got there own bed. We would just come back every night and pass out.
Paisley checking out our room.

The first thing we did was go swimming at the hotel.
The weather was unreal in California, they were having a heat wave in January and it was actually pretty toasty.

December Happenings.....so far

I always put my tree and christmas decorations up before thanksgiving.
Here are a few reasons why.
1.my decorations are more winter then specifically christmas.
2. I think thanksgiving is part of the holidays.
3.all you people who give me crap are freakin crazy, why do you care so much when i put up MY tree, its none of your freaking business.
as you can tell i get lots of grief for putting my tree up early, i dont care what you think and when YOU want me to put up my tree, its my house my rules and i can if i want, keep your mouth shut. anyways enough about my rant. i wanted to get a picture of my cute new deer head in the corner that i got from target that im madly in love with.

Paisley had her christmas dance concert and she did fabulous. It always amazes people that she gets on stage in front of tons of people and dances and smiles. If you know paisley you know how shy she is and doesnt usually talk to very many people. She really loves dance and i think it will be apart of her life forever. They danced to addicted to love, it was a cute dance. i'm not a huge fan of their costumes this year, i mean shes only 4 this is the only time they get away with cute big tutus and stuff, it was just a black leotard and a jacket, lame especially for $60.00 freaking bucks.

these two have sure grown to love each other, whenever gus gus would try and cuddle with ellie she would get up and walk away now they are always cuddling and its adorable.

Pax loves to pick up gus gus especially because he was 1 pound, i just have to make sure he sets him down carefully and doesn't just drop him on his head lol now that gus gus is older he knows that kids are kinda rough with him so he  growls every time one of them picks him up, he has even bitten paisley and made her cry, i feel bad for the little guy he really gets sick of being handled all the time, i dont blame him.

We got our first snow storm pretty late this year, we usually always get snow on or before Halloween we actually made it all through October and November without any snow, it was really nice to actually have a fall this year. but when the snow hit it was a MAJOR storm it even snowed in st george. it was a nasty one.

We did a fun girls christmas tea party at my aunt terrys house, this is my dads side of the family. it was fun we had brunch did a craft and a gift exchange.

I got to see my leo baby. He is a mastiff and when his mommy first got him she had to work full time and i babysat him as a baby, i cannot believe how HUGE he is, He is 155 pounds and still a puppy, yikes. This is me literally sitting on him lol

Pictures With Santa

Can you believe the holidays are upon us, crazy how fast they come and go.
Anyways i was pretty bummed this year because i didnt do christmas cards last year and i really wanted to do them this year but we didnt have the money to get family pictures taken before christmas this year. Well we decided to try and attempt to get pictures with santa and the kids, my kids have NEVER sat on his lap, but paisley totally wanted to this year, she was worried if she didnt tell him what she wanted for christmas she wasnt going to get it. So off to the mall to stand in a huge line waiting to sit on santas lap, As we got closer and closer i started thinking maybe we could all get in the picture and use it for christmas cards. i asked the guy taking the pictures if he would be willing to take two different pictures, he said as long as we bought some they would. Me and greg were in shock when it was our turn and the kids walked right up to him and sat right on his lap smiling, i started screaming take a picture take a picture lol i was so happy they were cooperating and weren't crying!!!! i wished i had thought of it when i was getting ready for the day and dressed a little nicer had i know i was going to be in the picture. but still its a cute picture of our little family on santas lap.

Everybody kinda laughs at paxtons face, but i think its adorable, this is him he is very stoic and doesnt smile much its ok with us because this is our little man and his personality.

Halloween 2013

Halloween always starts off around our house with pumpkin decorating. We would rather just paint and decorate our pumpkins instead of carve them, its much easier and less messy and the kids love it because they can actually do it.

Then my moms side of the family does a Halloween party every year the Sunday before Halloween. We look forward to this more then actual Halloween and trick or treating lol my kids are still little so they would rather play games and eat yummy food.
Usually the halloween games are geared towards the older kids so i decided to make a game for the little kids to play. I found this cute idea on pinterest you make a ring toss game out of witch hats. It actually wasn't too hard to make and we just used glow rings as the rings.
The little kids really liked and pax played it all night.

Since pax was a monster this year for halloween i decided to be roz from monster inc. and my costume was really easy thanks to my short hair. I actually won best costume at the halloween party!!!!
Greg was Willy from duck dynasty.
 Me and my monster.
 Paisley was Merida from brave.
Tried to get a family photo, not everybody is looking at the camera lol
On Halloween we went over to my parents house first.
The kids were freaking out about all the leaves in my parents front yard, so before trick or treating they got to play in the leaves, i got some really cute pictures.

It ended with a leaf fight with GG!!!!
My cute little trick or treater's ready to go!!!
Now you think by this photo the night went well, but it didnt. I hate on holidays that we have to tote are kids around to go visit all the grandma and grandpas, and then all the aunt and uncles want us to stop by, it makes for some VERY grumpy kids. Greg's family likes us to go trick or treating with his siblings and their kids, but my kids are so MELLOW and aren't really the trick or treating type, but we tried and half way through pax had a HUGE meltdown and was done, in fact i was ready to be done too. So we packed them home and in bed by 8 and we didn't get to go see all the aunt and uncles but its ok because trick or treating is not meant for little kids they just don't care, lesson learned this year.
