I would like to start off saying i did NOT want a puppy, here is the story of how we became new parents to adorable Gus Gus.
It all started with a harmless text from my sister saying a girl at her work was selling these adorable shnoodle puppies a mix between a schnauzer and a poodle, she asked me if i would go with her to look at them because SHE wanted one, i of course agreed. So after she got off work we went to look at the puppies, it turns out there was only 2 of them. There was of course Gus Gus and his brother who was going to be white. Gus Gus was MUCH cuter then his brother, he is smaller and his chocolate brown coloring is to die for. While we were there my sister called her husband to ask if she could bring him home and he said NO, while she was on the phone the owner of the dogs needed to leave in 5 min. so i started freaking out because i of course fell in love with him so what did my crazy self do???? handed them a check and took off with him. While we were in the car driving home i started freaking out WHAT AM I THINKING i don't want a puppy i already have a dog and 2 kids i cant handle a puppy. My sister calmed me down and said she would talk more to her husband and would hopefully convince him that they wanted him. Well needless to say he did not budge and we ended up taking him home that night. Luckily greg was not mad and late that night went to the store to buy all the necessary puppy items.Paisley was actually the one to name him Gus Gus, and i LOVE it!!! Gus was amazing that first night and surprisingly slept through the night. it put me more at ease that everything was going to be fine with him. But something seemed off with him, for 1. He didn't drink water out of a bowl. 2. He had no teeth yet. 3. He slept ALLOT. 4. He seemed very lethargic for a puppy. so we were a little concerned about him so greg took him to the humane society to get his shots and that's when we found out that he was barley 4 weeks old, puppies should not leave the mom until 6-9 weeks. he was supposed to be getting breast milk from his mom still. and that he wasn't old enough to lap the water in his mouth yet.WHAT??? so off to the store to buy puppy formula and $150.00 later we were set with more goods for this baby. He didn't even weigh a pound yet so he was too little to get shots. I was VERY upset and let the girl have it who sold me the puppy, i felt used like she just took my money and didn't even care about this sweet puppy who was clearly underfed and dehydrated. I started feeling better knowing he was in good hands now and would be taken care of. So we have had him now 2 1/2 weeks and he now weighs a whopping pound lol i was told he will only get 2-4 pounds as an adult so we will see. me and greg think he will be about ellies size which is 5 pounds. I now feel that i was SUPPOSED to have him, he seriously has fit into our family perfectly, him and ellie get along so well and the kids ADORE him. Isn't it funny how things happen sometimes?!
Look at that button nose, so cute.
