Halloween 2013

Halloween always starts off around our house with pumpkin decorating. We would rather just paint and decorate our pumpkins instead of carve them, its much easier and less messy and the kids love it because they can actually do it.

Then my moms side of the family does a Halloween party every year the Sunday before Halloween. We look forward to this more then actual Halloween and trick or treating lol my kids are still little so they would rather play games and eat yummy food.

 Usually the halloween games are geared towards the older kids so i decided to make a game for the little kids to play. I found this cute idea on pinterest you make a ring toss game out of witch hats. It actually wasn't too hard to make and we just used glow rings as the rings.

The little kids really liked and pax played it all night.

 Since pax was a monster this year for halloween i decided to be roz from monster inc. and my costume was really easy thanks to my short hair. I actually won best costume at the halloween party!!!!

On Halloween we went over to my parents house first.

The kids were freaking out about all the leaves in my parents front yard, so before trick or treating they got to play in the leaves, i got some really cute pictures.

 It ended with a leaf fight with GG!!!!

Now you think by this photo the night went well, but it didnt. I hate on holidays that we have to tote are kids around to go visit all the grandma and grandpas, and then all the aunt and uncles want us to stop by, it makes for some VERY grumpy kids. Greg's family likes us to go trick or treating with his siblings and their kids, but my kids are so MELLOW and aren't really the trick or treating type, but we tried and half way through pax had a HUGE meltdown and was done, in fact i was ready to be done too. So we packed them home and in bed by 8 and we didn't get to go see all the aunt and uncles but its ok because trick or treating is not meant for little kids they just don't care, lesson learned this year. 

San Diego days 4&5

Day 4 we pretty much just hung out, me and my sis wanted to check out all the shops by us so we shopped until we dropped. Paisley and the guys were at the beach ALL day and the boys boogie boarded, i have no pictures because i was not there, and they are dumb and don't take pictures. Pax pretty much slept all day, he was so tired.

Day 5 we went to the San Diego zoo, of course our days never go without some sort of drama in our family and poor paisley started throwing up in the car on the way to the zoo, i was SO worried we were going to have to turn around and go back, but she just said daddy was making her tummy hurt. Greg was lost and was making the poor girl car sick. thank goodness just car sick and not a stomach bug.

I was not in the mood for ALL the walking we were about to do, i had no idea how HUGE there zoo is, and you better believed everybody heard lots of whining from me and my kids, i personally am not a fan of this zoo i like salt lakes zoo just fine. I think my kids were so vacationed out at this point that this day didn't go very well and we tried to go to dinner after and the kids weren't having it and poor Greg had to leave dinner and go back to the condo. I must admit for all the lack of sleep and all the running around all day my kids did VERY good.

 The ONLY animal i enjoyed seeing was the cute panda bears.

San Diego day 2&3

Day 2 we went to Belmont park which was just a few blocks down from where we were staying. They had a fair going on so the kids did some rides, and we ate ice cream and wondered around.

Day 3 we went to sea world. We all LOVED it and stayed until it closed.

 Both kids were asleep by the time we got back to the condo.

They got to meet elmo and zoey and the both LOVED it, we even paid for the expensive pictures they take because none of us could believe they weren't totally freaking out. my kids will not go NEAR Santa or the Easter bunny lol

San Diego

So every 2 years my mom gets a condo right on the beach in San  Diego so 2 weeks ago we made the long road trip to San Diego. Why did we drive you ask? when we took paisley for the first time on a plane it was pure HELL im forever traumatized by the experience, and you see this year pax is the same age paisley was when we took her on the plane so i was no going to find out if he would do well on a plane, plus we would have to have paid for a rental car and it ended up being ALLOT cheaper for us to drive then pay for all 4 of us to fly and a rental car for a week. So we left on a Thursday and drove to Vegas that first night. Nothing too exciting happened.

Paisley slept most of the time.

 And surprisingly pax was awake most of the time only slept an hour.

 We stayed at excaliper, paisley thought it was so cool we were in a castle.

Then woke up the next morning and off to San Diego.

The drive from Vegas to San Diego is AWFUL and we got stuck in California traffic that made me car sick, we left at about 10:30am and didnt get to the condo until about 4:00pm.

This was the first view i got when we pulled up the condo, pure heaven.

You think with a view like this and being right on the beach it must be heaven, YOUR WRONG, we stayed at pacific beach, which is VERY crowded and has lots of shops and restaurants and bars all along the board walk and right next to us. ALL NIGHT LONG you hear people, music, sirens, etc. you name it, it kept us up ALLOT. I personally would not stay right on the beach again.

Later that night we went hunting for sea shells.

 We found this huge, i dont know what it is thing on the beach, it totally looks like a alien popped out of it, my dad thinks it a root that washed up from the ocean, whatever it is, its creepy.
