Doctors, doctors, doctors...........

As you could probably assume this post is about doctors and paxtons health. First i will start with pax turning two. I get major anxiety now every time i have to take him to his doctors appointments, and at his 2 year appointment i had a knot in my stomach and i new it wasn't good. He still hasn't gained weight since his heart surgery almost a year ago, she was very concerned about that, and we are working on it. But if you ask me its not a problem he looks totally fine to me, he is not a big eater like most boys, he eats just enough and i know its a 2 year old thing, they get picky.
The other concern she has with him which i keep putting off, is his speech. He doesn't talk, and honestly i wasn't very worried about it, me and greg are quite people and i just thought he was a quite boy, but it is a little strange in how he talks, he doesn't say words, he mumbles everything, he doesn't open is mouth at all when he talks he uses the back of his throat. If you ask me how many words he says, its maybe 4 he doesn't say words. but he is very smart and he has his ways of telling you what he needs. no matter how much i tried convincing his pediatrician it wasn't a concern she wasn't buying it and told me he needs speech therapy. Once again i left crying feeling awful about my mothering skills, i know to some of you its not a big deal, but when your child keeps having one health problem after another its gets very tiring and costly.
So fast forward to march and things got worse, he got very sick one night and spiked a very high fever and his breathing was very strange. We got him into his pediatrician that night and she was very worried about him, they tried 2 different steroids and a deep suctioning but his breathing was very labored, so off to primary children' s hospital we go. luckily by the time we arrived his oxygen had stabilized and he wasn't in critical need of service. They tested him for RSV and it was positive which the entire time i new it was, because he has had it before. But he was still very very sick, they didn't want to admit him because they felt he would do better at home, so we left with a nebulizer and some albudrol to do breathing treatments at home. I honestly felt really good about this, even though his breathing was a little strange, he still was trying to suck on his damn binki so to me it wasn't too alarming. He was pretty sick for about 2 weeks and he needed the breathing treatments 2 a day for a while, it was pure hell, he had a really hard time sleeping, and the breathing treatments would get him all wild because it would make his heart race, so it was hard giving him those at night before bed because he would start running laps around the house lol.
But of course the doctors were concerned about it and wants us to go see another doctor about him possibly having asthma, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! another freakin doctor for him to see aaahhhhh!!!!!! i know i know they are worried about him but sometimes i wonder if this is all necessary, i mean he did just have heart surgery so his upper respiratory is going to be weakened by that, i don't know i always thought asthma was a concern all year long, not just when he gets sick once a year in march. anyways we still are deciding what to do about that, it takes months to get into the doctor we want to go to so we are kinda waiting it out for now.
oh but don't you worry we have plenty of other doctors appointments to go to in the mean time, when the speech therapist finally came out to start doing speech therapy a nurse came with her to check his hearing and of course his left ear failed so now we have to go and get some hearing tests done to see how his hearing is. I had one major break down after that appointment now all i can think about is something is wrong with his hearing uuugggghhhh its never ending people. This poor kid has so many health problems its giving me major anxiety and this momma has not been sleeping. I was so naive and thought getting through his heart surgery was the only health problem we were ever going to have with him. WRONGO its just so odd to me that paisley is perfectly healthy she has never been to a hospital for anything. and then BAM we have pax and hes full of it, i dont know if its a boy thing, or this kid just has really really bad luck. but i am ready for him to be a happy healthy 2 year old boy. so that's been our life lately, im so looking forward to st george over spring break to ease my mind and release some major built up stress.

Disneyland Day 2

Day 2 of Disneyland was spent in California adventure. The fist thing we did was get a fast pass to the cars ride, and boy am i glad we did, the wait for the ride was over 2 hours if you didn't get a fast pass. YIKES!!! The first ride we did was the Ariel ride and of course paisley LOVED it and went on it a few times lol me and greg went on California screamin and i was SO sick after, it took me all day to recover from that roller coaster, but it was still fun!!! We went then went into bugs land while the guys went and did more roller coaster rides. I dont know how i dont have one single picture of us in bugs land. Pax was asleep in his stroller for all of bugs land, which was 2 hours. We also went to the Disney show which was all the Disney junior shows, the kids loved that. and paisley went on monsters inc. with grandma and grandpa.
I would have to say though are ultimate favorite place and my favorite thing now at Disneyland is CARS LAND!!!!! You guys, i was squealing and screaming the entire time we were in there, i did NOT want to leave. They literally built the entire cars land, it is straight from the movie people i seriously could have cried it made me so happy lol i LOVE the cars movie, like more then my kids so i was WAY more excited then they were. And the characters from the movie are legit, they drive around and talk and you get your pictures taken with them, its AMAZING. We ate at flos cafe which was adorable. I got a hoodie from cars land that i LOVE!!! it was pretty crowded and now i can see why because it is so amazing. and we saved the best for last and went on the cars ride and luckily paisley was barley tall enough to go on it, and it is SO FUN!!! me and greg wanted to go on it again, but we weren't going to stand in line for 2 hours lol i seriously did not want to leave, i was taking it all in, i want to go back to Disneyland just for that.

i didn't want to post a million pictures so i did a few, they are all kinda mixed up,between cars land and California adventure.

Paxtons 2nd Birthday

Before we left for Disneyland we had a little birthday party for pax because his actual birthday was while we were in Disneyland.
One thing everybody knows about pax is his undying love for CARS i mean he has a car in his hands at ALL TIMES, he sleeps with an armful of them. This is something he has developed on his own you could let him run free in a toy store and he would scan the entire store until he found a car. So no doubt we through him a cars themed birthday party.
He had blast and of course he got new cars sheets and a bed set for his new big boy bed. and uncle mat bought him a slew of hot wheels cars which he LOVES. and aunt tess and uncle dev got him some fun toys too.
This kid has such a fun personality he is very shy and quite just like his dad, but when you can get him going he sure is a character. He is starting to talk a little he says mom and ready set go, but that's about it. This little man has been through allot in his 2 years and one thing i have learned about that is he will take his time and he has been through something very traumatic in his life (his heart surgery) and his doctor told me its very normal for kids to act like this when they have been through something like that. I get lots of grief for him having a binky still and him not talking but i'm very protective of him and i know in time he will become strong and independent and wont need his binky and blankie every where we go.
It hasn't even been a year since his surgery, he is doing remarkable and we will know next month how his heart is doing when he has his check up with his cardiologist.
This little guy has a special place in my heart, he is so strong and shows me everyday how precious life is. he has taught me to slow down and not stress over the small stuff, he has taught me lots and lots of patience. hes my shy little man who LOVES to snuggle and be held he is so sensitive, and i love that about him, he reminds me so much of his daddy. He may not be a rowdy, rambunctious, loud boy but he is my special boy and i'm so proud of him.

Happy 2nd Birthday Paxton
Pax and his giant cars balloon
mom went a little crazy on the birthday decorations.

Disneyland Day 1

The first day of Disneyland was spent in just Disneyland.
obviously my kids were VERY overwhelmed and the first ride greg took pax on he screamed and cried the entire time and the first ride i took paisley on (buzz light year) she screamed and cried bloody murder begging me to get her off. So we learned very quickly our kids do not like rides, so unfortunately we had to split off from gregs family because i was NOT going to stand in the hot sun just waiting for everybody else to go on rides.
We basically just wondered and tried to convince paisley to go on some small rides, she did do alice in wonderland and the tea cups, but if a ride was in the dark she was NOT going to do it, and if it had allot of puppets, and i figured out MOST of the rides are in the dark and have puppets, at least for the little ones. We mainly went and saw all the characters which both kids loved doing. we saw some shows which were all amazing and of course the parade and fireworks at night are magical.
Me and greg did get to go on one of my favs which is Indiana jones.
If your wondering why such a lack of pictures are first day its because if you have sensitive kids like mine then you don't do a whole lot lol one thing about my family is me and greg are very mellow and my kids like mellow and low key which is totally fine with us, but it can get hard when you are with a wild group which gregs other siblings are very wild and their kids are too.
This is just who we are, we still had a BLAST!!!

Disneyland (departure day)

We got to go to Disneyland last week. It was Greg's moms 60th birthday and his parents paid for everybody to go. It just so happened to be paxtons 2nd birthday the first day we went to Disneyland, how lucky is that boy?!
We got to go to Disneyland 3 days in a row and it was a BLAST, very exhausting but i think we were running on fun fumes lol it was so fun to take my kids, it made the trip so magical.
We left Thursday morning. Now i was extremely nervous to take paxton on an airplane, since my last experience taking a toddler on a plane was a complete NIGHTMARE. But this kid proved his mom wrong and i was SO relieved the the flights went very smooth.

Paisley waiting to get on the airplane
All the cousins waiting to get on the plane, excited to go to Disneyland!!!
She was a little nervous but did so good on the flight.
 Bye Bye snow
 coloring on the flight.
Pax playing with his seat belt.
Greg photo bombing mine and paxton's picture.

made it to our hotel room. We got a kids suite which was so nice because the kids got bunk beds.
Mommy and daddy got there own bed. We would just come back every night and pass out.
Paisley checking out our room.

The first thing we did was go swimming at the hotel.
The weather was unreal in California, they were having a heat wave in January and it was actually pretty toasty.
